Mission: To provide leadership in a partnership effort to help people conserve, improve, and sustain our natural resources and environment.
The Warren Soil and Water Conservation District consists a board of supervisors and office staff. The Board of Supervisors consists of five members of which two are appointed by NC Soil and Water Conservation Commission and three are elected by Warren County residents. All supervisors are Warren County residents. The office staff consist of a director, administrative assistant and soil and water district technician. The staff is responsible for the administration of the agricultural cost share program and educational programs. The District works with the public school system by offering conservation education programs and by sponsoring conservation poster, essay and public speaking contests. Winners receive monetary awards and move on to the next level of competition. The District conducts educational program for civic groups and any other group that would like to know more about conserving our natural resources. The District is partners with the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Farm Service Agency (FSA). The District also works with NC Forest Service (DFR) and NC Cooperative Extension Service (CES). The District's office is located in the FSA Farm Service Center at 820 US Highway 158 Business, West, Suite 102, Warrenton, NC 27589, behind Farm Bureau Insurance.

Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors are Chair, Leonard Kilian; Vice-Chair, Herman Collier;Treasurer, Leon Williams; and other member are Mike Hight and David Clary. The Board meets each monthexcept January and July on the second Tuesday evening. Meetings start at 7:00 pm except during daylight savings when the Board meets at 7:30 PM in the FSA conference room. All Board meetings are opened to the public.
